• Measure pads and rotors and check for uneven wear
• Inspect calipers, slide pins, hoses and lines for leaks or sticking
• Check brake fluid level and condition
• Road test to confirm the noise or vibration is fixed

MIKE'S TIP

Grinding usually means the pads are worn to metal and are cutting into the rotors. Getting it looked at early often keeps the repair smaller.
